Hi, I'm calling to ask about mental health counseling or support.
My name is [your name], and I'm interested in the Psychiatric Emergency Service program.
I wanted to ask whether there are any requirements I should know about, such as Michigan Medicine patients and people needing urgent psychiatric evaluation; children are assessed to determine whether hospital care is needed?
I also wanted to confirm your current hours. I see 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Is that still accurate?
What is the cost for this service?
What is the best way to get started? I see call the crisis line 24/7 or go to the Psychiatric Emergency Service through the Emergency Department entrance.
Thank you so much for your help.
Always introduce yourself and ask to speak with someone who can help with your specific need.
Waitlist / Capacity: Walk-in evaluation available 24/7; call first if unsure whether PES is the right setting.
